SPRING MEETING

Register now for the spring meeting of the Electronic Benefits and Services (EBS) Council in Herndon, Virginia.  The Council will meet Wednesday, March 26 and Thursday, March 27. The Government Forum will meet the morning of Wednesday, March 26.

Tentative topics for the EBS Council meeting include:

  • Implications for a Multi-Vendor Environment
  • Using EBT on the Internet
  • Co-Branding of EBT Cards: Review and Identification of Issues White Paper – Update and Discussion
  • What’s the Latest at USDA FNS?
  • Revisiting Fraud in an Electronic Benefits Environment
  • Merchant Roundtable Discussion

A draft agenda and meeting registration information are available on the EBS Council’s web site at http://ebt.nacha.org.

A link to an electronic binder containing meeting materials will be emailed to registrants prior to the meeting. Dress for the meeting is business casual.

ACCOMMODATIONS
NACHA has reserved a block of rooms at the Embassy Suites Dulles Airport.  A complimentary shuttle to and from the NACHA office will be provided to guests staying at the Embassy Suites.

Regular Rate Rooms -- A limited number of regular rate rooms are available at $229 per night.  Please mention the group name NACHA or group code NCA at the time the reservation is made in order to receive the special group rate.

Government Rate Rooms -- A limited number of government rate rooms are also available at $201 per night. Simply ask for the Government Rate at the time of reservations.

Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at 703.464.0200 or Embassy Suites Reservations at 1-800-EMBASSY. Reservations must be made prior to March 3, 2008 .

NACHA is holding a block of rooms, but this is not a guarantee of availability through the cutoff date.  Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, so please make your reservations early.  After March 3, 2008, reservations will be accepted based on availability.  Please remember you are responsible for making your own hotel arrangements.

MEETING REGISTRATION FEES
All EBS Council Meeting attendees will be charged a modest registration fee of $250 per person.  This fee covers the costs for the meeting including food functions. All fees must be paid in advance of the meeting in order to attend.  Note: Speakers at the meeting are not charged a registration fee.

Registration fees will be collected at the time of online registration.  Payments can be made via credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover) or ACH.

Note: Due to a new NACHA policy, there will be no onsite guest registrations accepted. Please register in advance if you would like to attend the meeting.
